Real Property or Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE)are devices or building systems that are immovable property and support operation of the facility. RIPE are part the hospital building and/or infrastructures (e.g. chillers, boilers, air handlers, pumps, generators, transformers, HVAC, dampers) so the rule of thumb is if its inside, attaches, or mounts to the wall or outside then the responsibility falls on facilities engineering for repairs.
