Finding a stately, abandoned mansion, the pair settle in to wait until the engine is dry. The ghost of Albert Landers appears, revealing he was murdered by his former partner, Richard Wilson. The ghost points out a loose brick in the fireplace, which hides a diamond necklace and an envelope. The necklace is worth about $50,000 in Chris's estimation. The ghost tells Chris and Doris to take the evidence to the police.
