The Hokkaido line of destroyers is 514 meters long and approximately 165 meters wide. Its primary section consists of a inverted trapezoidal prism, with a primary cylindrical core spanning the length of the ship. Past the primary section, the cylinder contains the engineering and support sections, and the engine compartment. The command bridge is located on the underside of the primary section at the very leading edge of the ship. Other departments are distributed throughout the ship.
