This weapon, while it can be fitted on medium ships or even large fighters, is most commonly seen on capital ships. The Impact Drive Assemblies (IDA) Frigate mounts two of these beauties as standard equiptment. These, while having a fairly bulky size and slower fire rate than a Light Blaster Turret cause far more damage. You should be wary of these while you travel the space-lanes.
