Niffleheim is a star system in the Enigma Sector where the Terran Confederation maintains a colony. During the Enigma Campaign the colony was attacked by a Kilrathi force. About 2 weeks later Confederation Marines retook the system. In the non-canon losing scenario, Sparks tells Maverick that the marines "got shot up" while trying to retake the system.
