Ragwing was a rook in General Ironbeak's army. He and Grubclaw were keeping watch when Cornflower, disguised as the spirit of Martin the Warrior, appeared. He spread stories amongst the rooks and unwittingly helped the Redwallers by scaring Ironbeak's minions with his stories of the "ghost". He was the only confirmed survivor amongst Ironbeak's army.
