The Red Lotus is an extrapolated name for a type of Lotus Flower plant. It is based on Red Lotus, the alluring assassin player-character from the Deathtrap Dungeon computer game. As much of her early career was spent as a pirate, presumably on the western coast of Allansia, it is likely she took her name from a plant from this region. Extrapolating further, one could conclude that the Red Lotus is an aquatic flowering plant found in coastal areas of western Allansia, such as the estuary for the River Eltus.
