The Intergalactic Apprehension and Procurement Service is an organization that is responsible for the capture and detention of wanted criminals. It is overseen by Marshals who hold the position of Senior Dispatch Officer. Marshals are given warrants, and told to hunt down and capture the wanted individual. Beka Valentine described its agents as being little more than glorified bounty hunters. Jeger claimed to be a member of this organization when he was dispatched to capture the injured Perseid Special Collections Division agent Renvik, although Jeger's real loyalty was to the Spirit of the Abyss and not to the service.
