XL mode greatly increases the number of units that may appear on the map at any one time. This mode is played in a manner similar to Assault, where after a certain number of troops are killed, the battle is over. It is only available for the Geonosis: Dust Plains , Hoth: Echo Base , and Kashyyyk: Beachhead maps and only available for the PC version of the game, due to the massive amount of entities calculated.
