In LYKY the students spread rumours about Joe Solomon and Rachel but nothing was ever found out, all we know for sure is that they care deeply for each other though if it's just because they are friends or something more, no-one knows. She does miss her husband deeply who disappeared when Cammie was young (around her sixth grade year, and before she began learning in Gallagher). During OSOT Rachel was heartbroken when she found out he really was dead, even though she suspected it all along.
