The lotlhmoq was a type of avian animal lifeform native to the planet Qo'noS. The lotlhmoq tended to nest by water sources, and fly inland in search of food. They were commonly seen in the Kenta District of the city of Krennla. (KE novel: A Burning House) This animal is first mentioned in the Klingon Language Institute's journal, HolQeD (Volume 10, number 4). There, Marc Okrand describes it as a bird that could swoop into the water to catch food, but could not swim.
