The 1971 Halifax County 100 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at South Boston Speedway on May 9, 1971. Benny Parsons led just 43 laps, but it was enough for a one-lap victory on eventual season champ Richard Petty, Parsons' first career triumph.
