Inhabited by mages, scientists, elementals, and any civilians curious or foolish enough to accompany them, Liasse is a showcase of Valenth's extremes. Northern Liasse is covered in scorching desert, while farther south the arid sands give way to frozen earth and ice. Curious arcane patterns carved deep into solid earth are a regular sight on both sides of the region, and elementals tend to congregate around them as if anchored. Most animals stay far away from these sites, and the elementals themselves leave the natural beasts alone, though some are curious about humanoids, and others will attack them readily.
