Francis Lane was an astrobiologist who was part of the crew of the Geryon sent on a 'salvage mission' on the moon LV-223. He was responsible for injecting his construct assistant Elden with Chemical A0-3959X.91 – 15, and unintentionally unleashing him onto the salvage team.
