The so-called Wicked Bible is one of the rarest Bibles in the world, all because of one typographical error. In the year 1631, the Seventh of the Ten Commandments was incorrectly printed as 'Thou shalt commit adultery' . For this error, the printers were fined 300 British pounds, which was, at the time, a lifetime's wages. The thousand copies printed were ordered destroyed, but a few escaped destruction, and are now sold for many thousands of dollars.
