This article is about the hip-hop group. Brown Boogie nation was a Colombo, Sri Lanka based Hip Hop / Rap group. Well Ahead of their time, they are widely credited as the first original hip hop band in Sri Lanka. Active from 1995 to 2002, the group is well known for their politically conscious anti war single “Lions and Tigers”, which was the first Sri Lankan hip hop music video aired on national television. Their first single you get around was the first original hip hop song to receive radio airplay in Sri Lanka.
