Kappas with level 1 (also called Kappa "Hatchlings" after the Kappa Hatchling Shells they drop) are the weakest of the Kappa species. They are often found in a "nursery" group of 2-4 Kappa Hatchlings with one grown-up Kappa. Even though both types are simply labeled "Kappa", the Hatchlings can be recognized as they are slightly smaller than an adult. Like all Kappas, Kappa Hatchlings are conjurers of Water Magic. Like all level 1 creatures Kappa Hatchlings do not aggro at sight, but they will defend themselves when attacked.
