Yes, during Nintendo's roundtable Nintendo, or rather Shigeru Miyamoto, confirmed that Pikmin 3 is in development, though no images/information was shown/revealed. Though I'm perfectly fine with that - I'm such a huge fan of the two original games that an official announcement will make me satisfied.
