The 1984 TranSouth 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Darlington Speedway on April 15, 1984. Darrell Waltrip dominated the event, leading 251 of 367 laps in route to a two-second victory on Terry Labonte. With the results, Waltrip and Labonte tied for the points lead, with Waltrip getting the nod due to two wins. Stats
