NC 178 was the leader of Darth Owak's 181st Legion. In 15 ABY, after the Battle of the Jedi Temple, the entire legion was killed, and NC 178 was appointed the new commander by Owak himself. The loyal trooper quickly assembled an army of elite troopers, and they were soon fighting for the Perthonian Empire yet again.
