Laki'ahn was named after the white, shark-like fish living in its ocean. The indigenous tribe here would hunt these creatures as a rite of passage. When a boy retrived the large gem from the stomach, he became a man. When the D'ni entered the age they created a water colliseum and forced members of the tribe to fight these creatues for their pleasure. The tribe is belived to be extinct and the Laki can be seen in the distance refusing to come closer to the island.
