During his early adulthood, Bixby made a fortune through various means, the most profitable of which being a lottery scheme that made him millions. Bixby then bribed his way into a comfortable position within the Ministry of Magic. After he retired, he spent the rest of his days as a philanthropist. His son, Donnell Bixby attempted to follow in Donovan's footsteps, but lacked the business acumen.
