Jason is a character in the novel Final Destination: Dead Reckoning. He is a security guard who works on the same college campus Ben and Eric Prescott go to school to. Jason was reading the notice pinned to the fire escape door (which had been locked by Lou and Sharon) when he asked Ben what was wrong with the stairs. Trying to remain as sober as possible, Ben told him that he didn't know what was wrong, before the guard asked him if he was from around the area.
