A conflux is a Vex device. It spawns Vex units in the immediate vicinity. Confluxes apear to play a major role in Vex interplanetary transportation. Confluxes are seen in the Vault of Glass Raid, as well as many Strikes and Public Events. Confluxes can not attack, are stationary and only appear in preset locations.
