Located in Plaxton, the Black Krayt was one of the first arenas where major Galactic Swoop League tournaments took place during the surge of swoop racing popularity. It wove equally throughout some reclaimed urban blocks as well as some previously unused land to the south and west of Foundation Square. One section was, in fact, subterranean and its daunting entrance was christened "The Dragon's Throat". The track was marginally successful, for while it was popular amongst several teams and a considerable fan base, it was unable to expand or diversify its track and many saw it as too "amateur" in light of more challenging tracks being established throughout civilized space.
