The American Copy Editors Society, also known as "ACES", is a professional association mainly for copy editors at U.S. newspapers, but others are also welcome. As of 2005, the group offers: * a headline contest, * member directories, * a newsletter, * scholarships, * several chapters, * three-day annual conferences, and * a Web site that links to job listings and a discussion board. It has an executive committee of 15 people, of whom five are officers: the president, vice president for conferences, vice president for membership, secretary and treasurer.
