The Scorpion was a curly haired crime fighter named Hal Ward (though in the second issue his name is Rex Gray). He was a non-costumed and non-powered hero who was well known in the criminal community. He was assisted in his war on crime by his friend, Judd. His enemies were mostly gansters and other thugs such as Scar Bozzi, Gus Zenda, Red, Lefty, Beasley, Butch, and Hendricks, and Dopey Dan.
