A kshyyy-vine was a nearly indestructible material used in the straps of handcrafted bowcasters. The Wookiee Chewbacca had a bowcaster with a kshyyy-vine woven strap. Like all Wookiee gadgets, bowcasters were crafted from both modern technology and natural materials from the planet Kashyyyk, the Wookiee homeworld, which included kshyyy-vines.
