Elman is Tommy's classmate at Rutherford High School. Initially portrayed as a delinquent along with Romano, they later stop bullying Tommy. They invite Tommy to join their band, Whiskey Kittens, as the lead guitarist. Later, they also help Tommy make a fake—though not-so-believable—ID.
