Richard Milhous Nixon (January 9th, 1913-April 14th, 1972) was the 37th President of the United States from 1969-1972 as a member of the Republican Party. He was previously the 36th Vice President of the United States during the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower from 1953-1961. Nixon was the 9th President to die in office and the 5th to be assassinated. He served 2 terms as a member of the House of Representatives from California from January 2nd, 1947-December 1st, 1950.
