Patch 4.4.0 was speculated to bring a world event before the next expansion, which would be released with a "meaningful difference" in the release timeline compared to previous expansions. However, this patch never appeared on the PTR and was otherwise never seen. Wowpedia deleted their version of this page on March 22, 2012.
