The Mantooine Minuet was a piece of classical dance music. An innocuous piece of music, it passed review of the Imperial Board of Culture outright and was favored by Galactic Emperor Palpatine. Following the Emperor's death in 4 ABY, Emperor's Hand Mara Jade was captured by Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard. Upon interrogation, Jade, who had identified herself as a dancer in the Imperial court, claimed that the Emperor enjoyed the Mantooine Minuet as a way of appearing obtuse about her real role.
