Cyclone Jamba was an exceptionally strong and unprecedented tropical cyclone in the South Atlantic in late 2023. It was the strongest tropical cyclone on record in the South Atlantic, as well as one of the strongest worldwide. Jamba also beat the previous record set by Cyclone Simba in 2020. Jamba severely impacted Angola in its weaker stages, causing 67 fatalities, along with $893 million (2023 AOA; $279 million 2023 USD) in damages.
