The 289th Military Police Company (-) was activated on 1 November 1994 and attached to Hotel Company, 3rd Infantry (The Old Guard), Fort Myer, Virginia. Hotel Company is the Regiment's specialty company; it is also one of the most diverse organizations in the United States Armed Forces. The unit's most recent deployment sent a squad with B Co, 2/3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment to Djibouti.
