The M8A01 Pulse Rifle was developed in late 2561, after negotiations with the Elites reached a stalemate. It was created to take the place of infatry weapons of the day. It took the principles of the Covenant ship pulse lasers, and converted them to infatry weapons. It's beam is three centimeters wide and thre inches long, and is powerful. It's principles are similar to that of other laser weapons, such as Artic IV troops, but it's concepts were not stolen from them, though damage levels are similar. It is fully automatic, along with semiautomatic, and is a highly useful and powerful weapon. It's beam's lasers are an electric blue, which gives it a signature sight.
