Detective Inspector Colin Hunt is an officer of the British Metropolitan Police Service, commonly known as Scotland Yard. He was from a working-class family, growing up in London's East End. He was admitted to Eton College on a scholarship where he minored in blending in before eventually became a policeman. His first partner was a man named Terrance, who had a daughter, Naomi. After Terrance died, Hunt promised his family to take care of the young woman.
