The D32-Troop Carrier, nicknamed the Nightingale is an alternative dropship to the D77-TC Pelican developed for use by the Jacintan Colonial Defence Force and various Jacinto police departments in 2546. The request was made after JCDF commanders and personnel began to dislike the design and efficiency of the Pelican, desiring an increased payload capacity and a more aerodynamic design, without sacrificing combat efficiency. In short, the JCDF wanted a faster, tougher and spacious dropship that still performed well during combat situations.
