Previous: Hitler Dies: 1971 It soon becomes clear that the missile attack was nothing but a technical error. Although the prospect of nuclear war is lessened, the Nazi's are still edgy. Hitler is dead, Goring is now Führer of Germany, and institutes the worship of the God Wotan as the national religion. The Reich's allies are repulsed by Göring's decison, and when the Holocaust files are leaked to Spain, the uproar is tremendous. Italy declares the Axis null and void. Rebellions begin amongst the puppet states. The United States looks on as Europe begins to gear up for another war. President Nixon is faced with a choice that will forever shift the power in Europe.
