Altara is a sorceress on Killorn Keep fighting against the Guardian in secret. Prior to the Avatar meeting her, she, along with others, had tried to initiate reforms on Killorn Keep's world. However, the Guardian's agents crushed them mercilessly and many were executed. Some seen as too useful, like Altara, were spared and punished by being sent to places that were dead ends for their careers. Altara was sent to Killorn Keep.
