Ghostcrawler is a rare spectral crab introduced with Cataclysm as a tameable Hunter pet. He can be found wandering the southwest corner of the Abyssal Depths along the Abandoned Reef. Ghostcrawler is named after the Lead Systems Designer, Greg Street, who uses the name on the official game forums. Ghostcrawler will hit anyone who comes in his range, and attack with his mighty "Nerf Bat" that reduces health and stats every hit. Tons of hunters have stepped up to the challenge to tame him; some come out alive with taming him with only having a fraction of their health left.
