The Carrington Award is an annual Federation lifetime achievement award in the medical field. Each year, the Federation Medical Council select five nominees, one of who goes on to win the award. Sometime in his life, Dr. Leonard McCoy won the Carrington Award. (TOS novel: Provenance of Shadows) One of 2368's nominees was University of Nairobi Dr. April Wade; however, she did not win, but would go on to be nominated again in 2371. (DS9: "Prophet Motive") It is not certain during which years or for what medical research or practices Marie Bourget was nominated for the award.
