The Hydra is a DHARMA Initiative zoological research station located on the Hydra Island, a few miles offshore of the the main island. The Hydra appears to be one of the larger, if not the largest of the DHARMA facilities: a sprawling collection of different buildings and underground facilities. The above-ground area of the station is surrounded by thick jungle, and is located relatively close to shore.
