The Lotus Empire is the empire of the nagas in the world of Ashan. It has been ruled by the Eternal Empress, the military and spiritual head of naga society, since the Mythic Age. The Lotus Empire is made up of many nations, including the island kingdom of Hashima. The kingdoms of Shanriya in the Dragons' Causeway and Sayama in the Sahaar Desert were once vassal states of the Lotus Empire, but later became independent, though the Empress attempted to bring them back by force.
