Nexus Dragons were released on May 21, 2016, alongside Candelabra Dragons, Morphodrakes and Tarantula Hawk Drakes as part of Dragon Cave's 10th Birthday release. Like all other , they can only breed with their own kind and their eggs cannot be bitten by Vampire Dragons. Nexus dragons are among a short list of dragons on DC that have a unique cracking sequence to their eggs, appearing to shatter and crumble as the egg hatches. These dragons sort as "Nexus Dragon" using Breed sort, in between Neotropical Dragons and Nocturne Dragons.
