Loren Slone Schechter, MD, FACS (born 1968) is an internationally-recognized American physician, scientist, philanthropist, activist and blogger. Dr. Schechter is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, and Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL. He serves as President-elect of the Metropolitan Chicago Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and is a past president of the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Schechter also serves as Director of the Chicago Plastic Surgery Research Foundation, Inc. He resides in Highland Park, Illinois.
