Richard Cottier trained at Manchester Metropolitan University and went onto become a professional actor and has extensive experience in touring theatres, musicals, short films and television - such as roles in Island at War and Ideal. In Coronation Street he played the role of PC Reynolds in December 2003 and returned to the programme as an unnamed Policeman in May 2006 and April 2008.
