One of the monkey greegrees and a Monkeyspeak amulet must be equipped to talk to him, but the amulet is not required to use the shop by using the trade option on him. This shop can be thieved, but it is highly risky. Interestingly, the tinderbox on his stall is white rather than the usual grey. He does not sell white tinderboxes however, only the regular grey ones.
