The Completely Random Idiots, commonly known as "C.R.I.", was a project that members Garrett and Caleb started in middle school after Garrett had asked if Caleb wanted to be a part in a video series that Garrett had been planning for a while. Caleb said yes, but asked if he could ask their good friend, Lucas, to join. Garrett said yes, and they had their video group, but no name for the group. A few weeks later, Caleb suggested they call themselves "The Random" and that their videos would be rip-offs of movies and other videos. Garrett then suggested that they would be called "Completey Random Idiots", C.R.I. for short. As they were talking, another friend, Trevor, asked if he could join in.
