Ashley takes out a cauldron that has a purple liquid inside and she starts mixing it with her wand by stirring it around. The more she stirs, the more she charges up the spell; once the potion is finally complete, Ashley absorbs the potion into her wand, making it glow with purple light. Inputting the down special will have Ashley blast a long-range purple lightning bolt from her wand that deals quite a bit of damage. The lightning bolt can be aimed at an upwards angle just before Ashley launches the attack; by default the bolt is aimed straight forwards. When in the air or when standing on an edge, Ashley can aim it at a downwards angle as well.
