The book contains many powerful spells. Leo Wyatt brought it out of the library to trade for a unicorn horn with the evil witch Xandra in hopes of having enough magic to cast a summoning spell. He tells Xandra that the book was only on loan and expects it back by next week, but not before he secretly tore out some of the more dangerous spells.
